Weekly Update

Transitioning into the new week with new ideas, I feel hopefully for what Francisco, Patrick, and I can put together. Dr. Furman and Mr. Swenson gave us fantastic recommendations to help the project going and I think that helped bring a better picture into all 3 of our minds of where this needs to end  up. Moving forward, we hope to have more to show in terms of specs and design. We are also continuing with talks with the Wayside team, which is looking good. I inquired with Tynan about the voltage that they'll need to power up their Ultra Caps so I'll be sure to continually update them and hopefully vice versa. Reflecting on this past week, I hope that the team can strengthen our presentation skills, especially for myself. -Jordan Schultz

Weekly Update

Continuing off of what we completed last week, we are currently working on ways to improve our efficiency, especially since we have a presentation coming up soon. Some difficulties are just focusing on aligning our schedules, and for that we have created a itinerary to help keep everyone on track. We are also finalizing our design, in which we are looking for a curved canopy design for its reduction on materials and also how stylish it looks. We are also thinking about teaming up with Wayside power team to create a working demonstration for maker fair, and we are still discussing the matters currently, but will probably be a direction that we will head in the coming weeks. My reflection is that we can continue to work more as one body, and hopeful more scheduled events will be the trick. -Jordan Schultz

Weekly Update

As our timeline progresses with the project, all of us on the team start to build a greater understanding of what we need to do. Some difficulties brought up this week are very minor, but are just some scheduling problems that are affecting our full cooperation, but I am sure that this is still because of the project being in the beginning stages still. Individually, I continue to make sure that everyone has a task to be working with, and to keep that task relatively simple so that everyone can prioritize these critical tasks first in their daily schedules. As always, my reflection and hopes are that we continue to work closer as a team, which thankfully will come with time, so we just have to be patient and trusting. -Jordan Schultz

Weekly Update

The first week of planning has come and passed, and it seems to be going well so far. Francisco, Patrick, and I seem to all be on the same page when it comes to this project and its planning. So far the only difficulties that we have been coming across is just misinformation from not having the correct syllabus for this semester, to some timing issues. Other than those hiccups, we are starting to get the ball rolling on what we want to do, how we are going to do it, and allocating time for all of this. Individually, I have just been making sure that everyone continually is on track and we have a clear idea of our goals. Things that I would reflect on as this project starts to mature is figuring out everyone’s schedules so that we can meet more often, as well as constantly pushing this project forward. -Jordan Schultz
